Webcomic Book Club Reviews by Thalamasa

No, see. It is not that there has been a sudden quality drop. It is no longer funny because everybody and their brother talks about how great it is.

If I hear one more reference to Trogdor the Burninator, I swear to god I will garrote somebody.

You see, it has a weekly thing. Strongbad's Emails, where he answers a random email from some stupid guy.

I want you to imagine watching this a couple times, and watching as your friends online see it.

Watch it become popular.

Watch as every Monday the /entire internet/ goes LOLOLOL STRONG BAD EMAIL for weeks on end.

You learn to hate it, Pitch. It's like it's overcommercialized, except without the benefits of being able to say 'hahaha, stupid RL twinks', because it's your own group of peers falling for it.

That said! Strong Bad's emails is the only part of that entire business that is actually worth watching. There are a couple games worth playing. It is indeed a quality webcomic. It is just extremely overhyped, and people talk about it too much.

This is a fellow who has successfully written a webcomic for what is nearing a year without ever changing the panels involved, and yet the man still produces comedy. No, there is no character development. That's okay.

If /anyone/ treats this with the least bit of intellectual foppery, Thal gets to stabbing, okay?

Perhaps I'm harping the pixel issue too much, but...

Kid Radd.

Thank you.

Now, perhaps I was a little hasty in what I said to Brian V. there. Maybe I misread, but for god's sakes, pay attention. Not all the sprites are taken from ff1 directly. They are actually rather well edited.

I'd review the comic, but I'm biased because it was my /first/ webcomic. All I'm going to say is that he does an alright job at photoshopping things. There we go.

Well, its pixel art, who can blame the guy for not having any drawing skill.

I'm sorry. Did you just say 'pixel art means you don't have any drawing skill'?

Don't make me kill you, sir. Incidentally, there's lots of custom sprites, pay attention. Granted, he's not the guy that does them, but there are a LOT of custom sprites.

Seriously, about the pixel art thing. I'll punch you. I swear.
